The Company's pipeline contains three therapeutic candidates:
The first, LT-NS001, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) pro-drug for the treatment of chronic inflammatory conditions, such as osteoarthritis. This compound has been evaluated in a Phase 1 study in normal human volunteers and shown to be safe. It is ready for testing in a Phase 2a proof-of-principle trial.
The second, LT-ZP001, is an oligopeptide for the treatment of obesity and Type 2 diabetes mellitus. This compound has been shown to be effective in a relevant animal model of the human disease.
The third, LT-ZMP001, is a tetrapeptide that blocks the interaction of the pro-inflammatory cytokine, TNF, with its primary receptor (TNFR1). LT-ZMP001 is active in vitro at submicromolar concentrations, and is the lead compound for the development of a potent orally active anti-inflammatory agent for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and other auto-immune diseases.
